Eleven lucky young Cooks River Titans players had the privileged opportunity of representing their Club and walking out at as game day mascots at the start of the A-League clash yesterday between Sydney FC and Perth Glory in front of over 13,000 spectators at Allianz Stadium in Moore Park.
Players and parents were asked to turn up to the ground an hour and a half before kick-off to rehearse how it would all take place. Thirty minutes before kick-off, the players were marched into one of the change rooms to get changed and receive final instructions before making their way to the tunnel to wait for the players of both teams to come out.
The Titans were bursting with excitement as the A-League players came up beside them and held the hand of a player each. The music began and the Perth Glory players walked out with a Cooks River Titan player each onto the middle of the ground on display for the thousands of spectators in attendance. It all worked like clockwork and the Titans players marched back to the tunnel after the formalities. They then were ushered back to the change room to get changed back into their own clothes before returning to their seats with their parents to witness Sydney FC thump Perth 6-0.
The club would like to thank Sydney FC and the CDSFA for arranging this memorable experience for the young Titans.
