TITANS EMBRACE SOCIAL MEDIA

Welcome to the age of Social Media. As part of our campaign in 2016, The Titans new Media and Public Relations Manager Peter Solomakos, has worked tirelessly in improving the ways in which the club communicates with its parents, players and the general public.

“First and foremost I’d like to thank the committee for giving me this opportunity and welcome you to the 2016 season. It is a great honour and challenge to work at such a young yet professional club. Social media is an integral part of 21^st century society. In my opinion, the relationship between football and social media is becoming more and more important. It has become a pivotal tool in the communication of information. Here at Cooks River Titans, I aim to provide numerous ways in which the Titans family can keep up to date with all the happenings at the club. In the off-season with the guidance of the committee, I have improved and developed various forms of the clubs social media so that there is clear communication between the club, parents and players.”

One way in which the club aims to improve communication is through the launch of its new smartphone app. The free app has numerous features that will keep you up-to-date with your Titans news, and give you access to all our events, schedules and much more. The apps features includes: Titans news, events, fixtures and results, standings, photos, ground closures and push notifications. To get the full features of the Titans App you need to download Team App onto your smartphone available through both iTunes Store and Google Play. Commenting on this, Peter believes this is one of the most effective tools for communication “In today’s society, one can assume that it is dominated by smartphones. Through the use of the app we at the club are able to communicate efficiently with parents and players. The push notification is fantastic, the minute we post news it is only a touch away, that way parents are regularly informed. For those at the club who are yet to download the app I urge you to do so, as it has great benefits.
