Titans Represent at A-League Sydney Derby

Eleven lucky young Cooks River Titans players had the privileged opportunity of representing their Club and taking centre stage at the Sydney Derby last Saturday evening in front of over 34,000 fans at the new Allianz Stadium in Moore Park.

Samir Sader from our Under13s was the lone Cooks River player to participate in the stadium march around the ground before the main kick off. He was thrilled to be on the main field and soaked up the experience.

Our younger players were mascots and walked out with the players before the match. They were paired up with players from Western Sydney Wanderers as they walked out through the tunnel and stood in front of the Wanderers players while the bugle played the Last Post for Remembrance Day (officially the following day). Despite some of the young Titans being Sydney FC supporters, they loved the experience of being escorted around the inner sanctum of the new stadium in preparation for the pre-match walk out.

Players who participated were: Steven Fenlon, Michael Fenlon, Arthur Houssos, Anna Houssos, Vivienne Purser, Billy Purser, Rio Paull, Dion Angelis, Henry O’Brien, and axon Vrondas.

The club would like to thank Sydney FC and the CDSFA for arranging this memorable experience for the young Titans.
