Canterbury Bankstown Council Waive Ground Hire Fees for 2021
The City of Canterbury Bankstown Council once again provides financial support to the sports clubs in its area with its decision to waive ground hire costs in a bid to lessen the financial burden the clubs have suffered as a result of the Covid-19 lockdown.
For the second consecutive year, the City of Canterbury Bankstown Council led by Mayor Khal Asfour, decided to waive the seasonal ground hire costs for sporting clubs using Council grounds for the 2021 winter season.
The decision has received well earned praise from Football NSW as well as the Canterbury & District Soccer Football Association and rightfully so in these difficult times for grass roots clubs and their members.
We as a club are very appreciative and grateful for this kind consideration and this will assist in how we will look at ways to ease the financial impact the mid season cessation has had on our members.
