Special Mother's Day Touch

posted May 14, 2017, 7:59 PM by CooksRiver Titans
It was a somewhat coolish Mother's Day on Sunday 14th of May but many mothers were out in force to support their daughters playing in the Under13s Girls Division 1 game between neighbouring clubs Cooks River Titans and Marrickville Red Devils.

Although Cooks River took an early lead, the game was very tense with no team showing any real dominance. Marrickville fought back well in the second half to equalise but it was a late goal which saw the Titans prevail 2-1.

At the end of the game, the committee of Cooks River Titans (in particular, the mother of President Nick Kambounias, Christina) organised minature bouquets for all the girls from both teams to give to their mothers on this special day as a small token of thanks for everything they do for their children.
