Only two
rounds into the CDSFA regular season and it is evident that the Cooks River
Titans are making an impact across all their respective age groups.
In a warm autumns weekend across grounds in the Canterbury district the young
and old Titans came together to produce some impressive and encouraging
performances, in only their second year as a club. It was evident to see
through the performances of various teams, the hard work put in by coaches and
players in pre season. What was more pleasing though was the manner in which
these games were played and the enjoyment the players were having on the pitch.
Club President Nick Kambounias was delighted with the performance of all Titans
in the opening two rounds of the competition. “We are pleased with the performances of our teams both seniors and
juniors. Being in our second year, we now have a better understanding of where
our junior teams are placed and therefore have entered them in grades which
make games much more competitive, therefore enjoyable. Even though a couple of
teams have not achieved the results, they still play with a great attitude and
sportsmanship that warms the heart and shows the true meaning of playing
football.”
With teams now well and truly into the swing of things expect the Titans strong
performances to continue throughout the season.
